My 25 Before 25 List

The thought of turning 25 this year fills me with dread. A whole quarter of a century of life, halfway to 50 for goodness sake, and I feel like as each year goes by I’m achieving less and less. I don’t mean this post to come across negatively in any way – I am happy and healthy and am lucky to have what I have and lucky to have the ability to experience so many things, but I like to push myself. I really want to make 2019 a corker of a year, and I thought 25 before 25 would be a good way to start.

What I’ve Learnt In My First Job Since University

It’s coming up to just over a year and a half since landing my first job after University. I was incredibly lucky to be accepted at my job around 6 weeks after my graduation, but I know even the job hunting stage can prove tricky for a lot of graduates. I feel that through my job I’ve learnt a heck of a lot in a relatively short space of time. I’m so grateful for the opportunities that my first job has brought me, the lessons I have been exposed to and the personal and professional growth I have undertaken in the last 18 months. So, I thought it might be mildly interesting or perhaps even helpful to share what I have learnt in my first job since university.

My First Few Weeks at University; Then and Now

As you may or may not know, I have just began the gruelling task of my final year at University. Over the past two years, friends have come and gone, life lessons have been learnt and (of course) many drinks have been shared. For most people, it comes as no surprise that I am already feeling emotional about the year ahead, but what may surprise them is that I am in recovery for unhealthy relationships with food.
