We're on our little summer holiday this weekend ☀️ we've already gone for a little kayak at the creek and this evening we're having a bbq on the beach and might go for a little swim in the sea too! Feels good to get away before the chaos of relocating myself and my boyfriend to Oxfordshire in the next few weeks and both starting new jobs!

It's taken a little while to get used to but the last week or so I have been venturing out for drinks and the occasional snack at outdoor bars and restaurants and honestly, it's been SO NICE to be out doing things and feeling relatively normal. ⁠

Local businesses have been through so much in the last few months and to be able to go out and support them feels really good. I've not had a single bad experience, nowhere has been overly crowded, and the majority of places have been taking details for track and trace which is reassuring. ⁠

I'm aware that everyone will come out of lockdown differently. Heck, a few weeks ago, I was terrified to leave the house but I had to make a change. With moving across the country and starting a new job in a few weeks, I needed to get over my fear of the outside and I think we might have cracked it! ⁠
