It’s starting to feel more autumnal and that means it’s time for the October Birchbox review! This month’s Birchbox theme is ‘feeling good’ and in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Birchbox have teamed up with the charity ‘CoppaFeel’. ‘CoppaFeel’ aim to raise awareness of the early signs of breast cancer and encourage everyone to check their breasts regularly (yes, men included!). They’ve included a handy little sticker which is safe for the shower to help us all remember to check our wobbly bits!

As for the rest of the October Birchbox, I’m loving the design. Its vibrant and eye-catching and definitely one of my favourites.
Now let’s see what is inside…

Anatomicals – FULL SIZE Grab Your Melons Shower Gel RRP *£1.50

October Birchbox Anatomicals Shower Gel
Everybody receives one of these Anatomicals shower gels this month as it fits wonderfully with the CoppaFeel campaign. I love the Anatomicals range of products as they are super affordable but I also find them quite good quality and they work well. This may just be a shower gel, but it smells fruity and zesty (something I don’t normally go for but am loving!). It’s not the biggest product ever, but it will last a few showers and at that bargain price, I’ll definitely be stocking up!

Balance Me – Pure Skin Face Wash RRP *£16

October Birchbox Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash
Another brand I have discovered through Birchbox and am now in love with! I absolutely love their micellar water and it has done wonders for my skin. This product has a similar scent to the micellar water which I’m not too keen on, but it feels really cleansing and leaves your skin super smooth.

ModelCo – Contour Stick RRP *£8

October Birchbox ModelCo Contour Stick
For the October Birchbox, we got to choose between two ModelCo products; a mascara or this contour stick. I chose this as I want to make a bit more effort with my make-up and learn a few more techniques (plus I haves tonnes of mascara). I don’t know if this colour really works for me as I’m still learning, but the texture of this product is really smooth and creamy. It feels incredibly easy to blend which will definitely help me as I experiment with it a bit more. It’s also quite shimmery so may work as a bronzer too, but I’m not sure.

Whish – Three Wishes Body Butter Almond RRP *£16.70

October Birchbox Whish Body Butter
Oh my goodness. This product has me swooning. Not only does it smell like something I want to eat, it has little golden specs in it which create the most gorgeous sun kissed shimmer! Perfect if you need a little light in your life on a cold winter morning!

R + Co – Badlands Dry Shampoo Paste RRP*£22

October Birchbox R+Co Dry Shampoo Paste
I do love a product that makes you slightly nervous to use it! I have never seen dry shampoo in a balm-type product before and I was very unsure of how it would work with my fine hair, but it did okay! It’s not going to replace my spray anytime soon, but could be a good travel essential. This is also vegan and cruelty free so it’s a win-win.

Overall, I am much happier with my October Birchbox compared to last month’s disaster (which you can read about here). I feel like I will definitely use all of these products and I’m very pleased to see some of my favourite brands making a comeback.

*RRPs correspond to full-size items which can be purchased from the Birchbox Shop.

It’s such a quirky name right? And a great shower gel too!

First time hearing about a dry shampoo in a balm 😛 I normally used to use Batiste dry shampoo, but recently switched to trying coconut oil in my hair but I went a bit too crazy and ended up with greasy hair :O I got the hang of using it now, so that’s good 🙂 Well done to Birchbox in creating awareness for breast cancer. Maybe too much information 😛 but I always feel my boobs in the shower and everyone should take the time to do it. That only takes a few moments.Fabulous packaging btw! 🙂

What a gorgeous box! The products all seem to be quite high quality as well – would you say that Birchbox is a good subscription?

I’ve had my ups and downs with it (as you can see in my other reviews) but overall yes! I’ve found loads of amazing brands through it and they do tend to send good products based on your beauty profile ☺️
